Verizon Family - Locate a Family Member

Here's how to locate a family member using the Verizon Family app on your device.
To perform the steps below, you need to:
  • ensure the parent and child devices are paired.
  • ensure location sharing is on.
  • ensure GPS is enabled on the device to be located.
    If necessary, refer to the device's user manual for instructions.
Not included with Verizon Smart Family Basic
  1. From the Verizon Family Guardian or companion app, tap the
    Home tab
     then tap on the
    map
    .
    Device location begins automatically then displays on the map with family members clustered in their general locations.
  2. To see the specific location of a particular family member, select them in the menu below.
    This step only applies when using the parent app. If using the companion app, skip to the next step.
  3. View the current location.
    If available, tap the
    Refresh icon
     Refresh icon in the lower-right to update.
  4. If available, view location history below the map.
    Tap an individual result to view more details.
