Edit Router Nickname via My Verizon app

Easily identify your 5G Home Internet router / gateway on the My Verizon app by viewing or changing its display name.

Before you begin

5G Home Internet service is currently offered in specific areas. Check if Verizon Home Internet is available near you.
The following steps change the device name that appears on your My Verizon account, to change a Wi-Fi network name (SSID), refer to Change Wi-Fi Name and Password.

Steps

  1. Open the
    My Verizon app
    .
  2. Tap the
    Home tab
    .
  3. If necessary, tap the
    5G Home tab
     at the top of the screen.
  4. From the Home device section, tap the device to plan.
  5. Tap the
    Edit icon
     next to the current device name.
  6. Enter the desired name in the
    Device nickname field
     then tap
    Save
    .
