Here's how to change the default Home screen settings for your Galaxy Tab S4.

Open the

Settings app

Navigate:

Display

Home screen

Do any of the following:

Select Home Screen Layout

Tap

Home screen layout

Select an option (Home and Apps screen, Home screen only).

Tap

Apply

App icon badges

Tap

App icon badges

Tap the switch(es) to turn on or off.

When on, you can also elect the desired badge style (Number, Dot).

Tap

Notifications on app icons

to turn on of off.

Hide Apps

Tap

Hide apps

Select the preferred app(s).

Tap

Apply
