Connected Car Wi-Fi (Mazda) Turn Network Name (SSID) On / Off
Connected Car Wi-Fi (Mazda)
Turn Network Name (SSID) On / OffControl your Mazda in-car Wi-Fi Hotspot visibility by turning network broadcasting on or off to enhance privacy, prevent unwanted connection attempts, or easily pair new passenger devices.
Before you begin
Enrollment in Connected Service is required before using in-car Wi-Fi or accessing the Wi-Fi settings screen.
Every wireless access point (e.g., router, hotspot) has a network name or Service Set Identifier (SSID) assigned to it. Typically broadcast by default, it can be turned off for greater security.
When turned off, any device attempting to connect for the first time must know the SSID name and password to set up a manual connection to it. For the easiest connection experience, it's recommended to leave broadcast on.
