Samsung Galaxy A11 - Turn App Permissions On / Off

Here's how to turn permissions for installed apps on your Galaxy A11 on or off.
  • Downloaded apps designed for Android only ask for permission the first time you use a feature rather than asking for permissions out of context.
  • Turning off certain permissions may result in basic features no longer working as intended.
  1. From a Home screen, swipe up to access the apps screen.
    These instructions only apply the default Home screen layout.
  2. Navigate:
    Settings Settings icon
    Apps
    .
  3. Tap the appropriate app.
    Tap the
    Sort filter icon
    Sort filter icon then tap
    Show system apps
    . If available, tap
    Permissions
    (App settings section).
    • To allow an app permission:
      1. From the 'Not allowed' section, tap an available permission (e.g., Contacts, Location, etc.).
      2. Tap
        Allow only while using the app
        .
      3. Tap the
        Back icon
        Back arrow icon (upper-left) to return to App permissions.
    • To deny an app permission:
      1. From the 'Allowed' section, tap an available permission (e.g., Contacts, Location, etc.).
      2. Tap
        Don't allow

      3. If prompted, review the confirmation message then tap
        Don't allow anyway
