TCL 10 5G UW - Manage Hotspot Settings

Here's how to configure the hotspot settings (e.g., password, network name, etc.) on your TCL 10 5G UW.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Network & internet
    Hotspot & tethering
    Mobile Hotspot
    .
  3. Tap
    Set up Mobile Hotspot
    .
  4. From the Setup Mobile Hotspot screen, configure the following as needed:
    • Network name (SSID)
    • Security (e.g., None, WPA2-Personal, etc.)
    • Password
      The new password must be entered on the connecting device.
      1. Tap the Password field to remove the existing password.
      2. Tap
        SAVE
        .
    • Show password
    • AP Band (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz preferred)
    • Maximum connections (e.g., 1 user, 8 users, etc.)
  5. From the 'CONNECTED USERS' section, tap
    BLOCK
     next to the device you want to disconnect.
    To remove the block, tap
    UNBLOCK
     next to the preferred device under the 'BLOCKED USERS' section.
  6. Tap
    Timeout settings
     then select a preferred option (e.g., Never turn off, 5 mins, etc.).
  7. Tap
    SAVE
    .
