Stream TV - Uninstall Apps
Here's how to remove or delete apps if your 2nd-generation Stream TV is unresponsive, freezes or an app won't open.
- The steps below apply to the 2nd-generation Stream TV which can be identified by the Find My Remote button. If you have the original Stream TV model, refer to Stream TV - Uninstall Apps.
- Apps included with the Stream TV and Android™ operating system may not have an uninstall option.Some apps that can't be uninstalled can be disabled (disabling apps may cause related apps to malfunction).
- If uninstalling an app update, ensure auto-update is disabled until the issue is resolved with the developer.
- Ensure your Stream TV is up to date as the following steps apply to the most recent version.
- If necessary, press theHome button
on your Stream TV remote to wake up your device.
- From the Stream TV Home screen, select theSettings menu
(upper-right).
Utilize 5-way navigation pad on the remote to highlight and the center (OK) button to select. - Navigate:.
- Locate then select the appropriate app.If necessary, selectSee all apps.
- Do one of the following:
- To uninstall the app:
- SelectUninstall.
- Review the notification then selectOKto confirm.
- To uninstall app updates:This option is only available when an update has been installed.
- SelectUninstall updates.
- Review the notification then selectOKto confirm.
