Adjust motion and gesture settings to improve how you use your Galaxy A12. Customize for gestures, quicker shortcuts, and increased overall efficiency.
  1. Open the
    Settings app

  2. Navigate:
    Advanced features
    Motions and gestures
    .
  3. Select any of the following then tap the switch(es) to turn on or off:
    • Lift to wake
       : Turns the screen on when you pick up your phone.
    • Double tap to turn on screen
      : Turns the screen on when you tap the screen twice.
    • Double tap to turn off screen
      : Double tap an empty space on the Home or Lock screen.
    • Keep screen on while viewing
      : Keep the screen on while you're looking at it.
    • Alert when phone picked up
      : Phone vibrates when you pick it up after missing a call or receiving a message.
    • Turn over to mute
      : Mute incoming calls and alarms by turning your phone face down.
    • Finger sensor gestures
      : Open and close the notification panel using the fingerprint sensor.
