Turning on data for your Windows® 11 device provides access to online services over the mobile network, while turning it off impacts that experience unless you're connected to Wi-Fi.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Start menu
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Settings
    Network & internet
    Cellular
    .
  3. Do any of the following:
    • To turn data on / off:
      1. Select the
        Cellular data switch
         to turn on or off.
    • To allow / deny data roaming:
      Depending on your plan, enabling data roaming may cause roaming charges (e.g., when traveling internationally).
      1. Select the 'Data roaming options'
        Dropdown menu
         then choose
        Don't roam
         or
        Roam
        .
