Stream TV Soundbar Pro - Set Up Device
Here's how to set up your Stream TV Soundbar Pro via a wireless connection.
Before you start, confirm you have:
- a Wi-Fi connection.
- a Google™ (Gmail™) account.If you don't already have a Google account or have trouble logging in, visit this Google site for help.
- Connect the HDMI cable from your soundbar to your TV.
- Connect the power cord from your soundbar to an electrical outlet.
- Turn on your TV then set it to the correct HDMI input.Refer to the TV manufacturer for help.
- Pair your Stream TV Voice Remote.If your Stream TV Voice Remote is not available, the device must be set up using a wired connection and the Remote Control app.
- If prompted, selectBeginto set up your remote to control the volume on your TV then follow the on-screen prompts.Utilize the 5-way navigation pad on the remote to highlight and the center (OK) button to select.To skip, press theBack button
on the remote twice.
- From the 'Quickly set up your TV with your Android phone?' screen, select an option:
- To use your Android phone to set up your Wi-Fi and Google account:
- SelectContinue.
- On your Android Phone, open the pre-installed Google app.
- Type or say, "Ok Google set up my device".
- If prompted, tapNextfrom the 'Getting started' screen.
- If prompted, tapStream TV Soundbar Proon the list
- Verify the code displayed on your TV matches the code on your phone then tapNext.
- Tap the Wi-Fi network your Android phone is connected to.
- Tap the Google account you wish to add to your Stream TV device.
- From the 'Copy to your new device?' screen, tap 'Copy' or 'Cancel'.
- If prompted, verify your identity (pin, password, etc...).
- From the 'Almost done!' screen, tapClose.
- To setup manually using your remote:
- SelectSkip.
- From the 'Select your Wi-Fi network' screen, select the desired Wi-Fi network.
- Enter the Wi-Fi password and select then select theEnter icon
.
- If necessary, wait for your Stream TV to install system updates.This takes a few minutes and your device will restart multiple times.
- If prompted, selectOKfrom the 'A remote control software update is available' screen.Firmware update may take a few minutes. If prompted, selectOKfrom the 'Your remote control software is up to date' screen.
- From the 'Select soundbar position' screen, select the desired position (e.g., Table, Wall) then selectConfirm.Position is selected when circle to the right is white.
- From the 'Sign in to your Verizon account' screen, do one of the following:If you select 'No account', you can sign in to your Verizon account at a later time.
- Sign in using your phone or computerIf you're connected to a Wi-Fi network that features host isolation (e.g., guest networks, etc.) sign in using your remote.
- Make sure your device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Stream TV.
- On the phone or computer, open a web browser and go to https://stream.verizon.com/activate.If using a smartphone, scan the QR code shown on the TV screen with a QR code reader.
- Enter the code shown on your TV screen on the website where prompted.
- If prompted, enter your My Verizon User ID or mobile number and Password, then selectSIGN IN.
- Sign in using your remote
- SelectUse remote instead.
- Enter your My Verizon User ID or mobile number then select theEnter icon.
- Enter your My Verizon password then select theEnter icon.
- If prompted, enter the answer to your secret question then selectContinue.
- Review the Terms of service, End user license agreement, and Privacy policy then selectAccept all.
- From the 'Name your device' screen, select the desired name then selectContinue.Name selected when circle to the right is white.
- Review the 'Get more from your Stream TV with Google' screen selectContinue.
- From the 'Make the most of your TV' screen selectSign Inthen do the following:If you select 'No account' or 'Skip', you can add a Google account at a later time.If you used your phone on step 6 and already selected a Google account, skip to step 16.
- Enter your Google account email address then select theNext icon
.
- Enter your Google account password then select theNext icon.
- From the 'Google Terms of Service' screen selectAccept.
- From the 'Google Services' screen selectAccept.
- From the 'Google Assistant' screen selectContinue.If Google account sign in was skipped, selectUse Assistant without sign in.
- From the 'Search across all your TV apps' screen, select 'Allow' or 'No thanks'.
- From the 'Get personal results' screen, select 'Turn on' or 'No thanks'.
- From the 'Get the most out of your Google Assistant screen, select 'Yes' or 'No'.
- From the 'Install additional apps' screen, select (check) any desired apps then selectContinue.Select 'Install all of the following apps' to select all the apps on the Recommended list.
- Press theCenter (OK) buttonto view each of the 'Features of your device' screens and to exit set up.
