Stream TV Soundbar Pro - Set Up Device

Here's how to set up your Stream TV Soundbar Pro via a wireless connection.
Before you start, confirm you have:
  • a Wi-Fi connection.
  • a Google (Gmail) account.
    If you don't already have a Google account or have trouble logging in, visit this Google site for help.
  1. Connect the HDMI cable from your soundbar to your TV.
  2. Connect the power cord from your soundbar to an electrical outlet.
  3. Turn on your TV then set it to the correct HDMI input.
    Refer to the TV manufacturer for help.
  4. If your Stream TV Voice Remote is not available, the device must be set up using a wired connection and the Remote Control app.
  5. If prompted, select
    Begin
    to set up your remote to control the volume on your TV then follow the on-screen prompts.
    Utilize the 5-way navigation pad on the remote to highlight and the center (OK) button to select.
    To skip, press the
    Back button
    Back button on the remote on the remote twice.
  6. From the 'Quickly set up your TV with your Android phone?' screen, select an option:
    • To use your Android phone to set up your Wi-Fi and Google account:
      1. Select
        Continue
        .
      2. On your Android Phone, open the pre-installed Google app.
      3. Type or say, "Ok Google set up my device".
      4. If prompted, tap
        Next
        from the 'Getting started' screen.
      5. If prompted, tap
        Stream TV Soundbar Pro
        on the list
      6. Verify the code displayed on your TV matches the code on your phone then tap
        Next
        .
      7. Tap the Wi-Fi network your Android phone is connected to.
      8. Tap the Google account you wish to add to your Stream TV device.
      9. From the 'Copy to your new device?' screen, tap 'Copy' or 'Cancel'.
      10. If prompted, verify your identity (pin, password, etc...).
      11. From the 'Almost done!' screen, tap
        Close
        .
    • To setup manually using your remote:
      1. Select
        Skip
        .
      2. From the 'Select your Wi-Fi network' screen, select the desired Wi-Fi network.
      3. Enter the Wi-Fi password and select then select the
        Enter icon
        Enter icon.
  7. If necessary, wait for your Stream TV to install system updates.
    This takes a few minutes and your device will restart multiple times.
  8. If prompted, select
    OK
    from the 'A remote control software update is available' screen.
    Firmware update may take a few minutes. If prompted, select
    OK
    from the 'Your remote control software is up to date' screen.
  9. From the 'Select soundbar position' screen, select the desired position (e.g., Table, Wall) then select
    Confirm
    .
    Position is selected when circle to the right is white.
  10. From the 'Sign in to your Verizon account' screen, do one of the following:
    If you select 'No account', you can sign in to your Verizon account at a later time.
    • Sign in using your phone or computer
      If you're connected to a Wi-Fi network that features host isolation (e.g., guest networks, etc.) sign in using your remote.
      1. Make sure your device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Stream TV.
      2. On the phone or computer, open a web browser and go to https://stream.verizon.com/activate.
        If using a smartphone, scan the QR code shown on the TV screen with a QR code reader.
      3. Enter the code shown on your TV screen on the website where prompted.
      4. If prompted, enter your My Verizon User ID or mobile number and Password, then select
        SIGN IN
        .
    • Sign in using your remote
      1. Select
        Use remote instead
        .
      2. Enter your My Verizon User ID or mobile number then select the
        Enter icon
        .
      3. Enter your My Verizon password then select the
        Enter icon
        .
  11. If prompted, enter the answer to your secret question then select
    Continue
    .
  12. Review the Terms of service, End user license agreement, and Privacy policy then select
    Accept all
    .
  13. From the 'Name your device' screen, select the desired name then select
    Continue
    .
    Name selected when circle to the right is white.
  14. Review the 'Get more from your Stream TV with Google' screen select
    Continue
    .
  15. From the 'Make the most of your TV' screen select
    Sign In
    then do the following:
    If you select 'No account' or 'Skip', you can add a Google account at a later time.
    If you used your phone on step 6 and already selected a Google account, skip to step 16.
    1. Enter your Google account email address then select the
      Next icon
      Next icon.
    2. Enter your Google account password then select the
      Next icon
      .
  16. From the 'Google Terms of Service' screen select
    Accept
    .
  17. From the 'Google Services' screen select
    Accept
    .
  18. From the 'Google Assistant' screen select
    Continue
    .
    If Google account sign in was skipped, select
    Use Assistant without sign in
    .
  19. From the 'Search across all your TV apps' screen, select 'Allow' or 'No thanks'.
  20. From the 'Get personal results' screen, select 'Turn on' or 'No thanks'.
  21. From the 'Get the most out of your Google Assistant screen, select 'Yes' or 'No'.
  22. From the 'Install additional apps' screen, select (check) any desired apps then select
    Continue
    .
    Select 'Install all of the following apps' to select all the apps on the Recommended list.
  23. Press the
    Center (OK) button
    to view each of the 'Features of your device' screens and to exit set up.
