Manage Hotspot Settings

Turn on the hotspot feature for your Hyundai in-car Wi-Fi to share mobile data with other devices. Set up the network name, password and security type to enhance security.

Before you begin

Enrollment in Connected Service is required before using in-car Wi-Fi or accessing the Wi-Fi hotspot settings screen.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the Home screen on your infotainment system.
  2. Navigate:
    Setup
    Data / Network
    Wi-Fi Hotspot
    .
  3. Tap
    Password
    .
  4. Select any of the following to view or change settings:
    • Access Point / SSID
      : Sets the network name for compatible devices to select when connecting to your in-car Wi-Fi.
    • Password
      : Sets a password for connecting to in-car Wi-Fi.
      The password is hidden by default. To view the password tap
      Password
       then tap
      Show
      .
    • Frequency Bands
      : Can be set to 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz preferred.
    • Connected Devices
      : Displays the number of devices connected to the current in-car Wi-Fi.
