Perform a Wi-Fi Scan

Wi-Fi scans detect unsecure networks, hidden threats, and weak encryption. This ensures your connection is safe from hackers before you browse, keeping your personal data private.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Verizon Protect app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Services
    Secure Connect
    .
  3. Select the
    Connection tab
    .
  4. Tap the
    Wi-Fi Scan switch
     to turn on or off.
  5. If an unsecure Wi-Fi network is detected, review the recommended action (e.g., Disconnect, Turn on Secure VPN).
    Secure VPN isn't compatible with Mac® computers and requires a Digital Secure Premium subscription.
