Activate Netflix & HBO Max Perk

Use the My Verizon app to easily activate and access your Netflix® and HBO Max perk, so you can begin streaming your favorite content.

Before you begin

Ensure the Netflix & HBO Max perk has been added. It may take up to 15 minutes to update.

Activate Netflix

  1. Open the 
    My Verizon app
    .
  2. From the Me tab, navigate:
    Manage products & plan perks
    Netflix & HBO Max
    .
  3. Tap
    Set up
     or
    Continue
    .
  4. From the Netflix section, tap
    Register
    .
  5. Do one of the following:
    • If you don't already have a Netflix account:
      1. Confirm the email address then tap
        Set Up Password
        .
      2. Enter a password to watch Netflix then tap
        Next
        .
      3. From the Now chose your Netflix plan screen, select a plan option (e.g., Premium, Standard with ads, etc.) then tap
        Continue
        .
      4. Review the confirmation details then tap
        Accept
        .
      5. Follow the onscreen prompts for any additional Netflix details (e.g., backup payment, password recovery, etc.).
    • If you're already a Netflix member:
      1. Enter the email associated with your Netflix account then tap
        Next
        .
      2. Enter your Netflix password then tap
        Next
        .
      3. Review the Verizon perk message then tap
        Yes, Start Watching
         to accept the suggestion based on your existing subscription or tap
        Show Other Plans
         and do the following:
        • From the Now chose your Netflix plan screen, select a plan option then tap
          Continue with selection
          .
        • Review the Confirm your details screen then tap
          Accept & Watch Now
          .

Activate HBO Max

  1. Open the 
    My Verizon app
    .
  2. From the Me tab, navigate:
    Manage products & plan perks
    Netflix & HBO Max
    .
  3. Tap
    Set up
     or
    Continue
    .
  4. From the HBO Max section, tap
    Register
    .
  5. From the set up screen, enter your email address then tap
    Continue
    .
  6. Do one of the following:
    • If no existing account was found:
      1. From the Create Your Account screen, enter the applicable details (e.g., Email Address, Name, etc.) then tap
        Create Account
        .
      2. Tap
        Start Streaming
         to continue with the With Ads subscription. To view plan choices and cost difference to upgrade:
        1. Tap
          Explore Ad-Free Plans
          .
        2. Select the applicable plan (e.g., Ad-Free, Ultimate Ad-Free, etc.) then tap
          Continue
          .
        3. Review the subscription details then tap
          Confirm & Continue
          .
    • If an existing HBO Max account was found:
      1. Tap
        Verify Email
        .
      2. Enter the one-time code sent to the email address associated with your HBO Max account then tap
        Submit
        .
      3. Tap
        Keep Plan
         to continue with your existing plan. To view plan choices and cost difference to upgrade:
        1. Tap
          Change Plan
          .
        2. Select the applicable plan (e.g., Ad-Free, Ultimate Ad-Free, etc.) then tap
          Continue
          .
        3. Review the subscription details then tap
          Confirm & Continue
          .
