Download and Activate an eSIM

With an eSIM, your phone number and plan are installed digitally onto your Orbic smartphone instead of using a physical SIM card. Downloading an eSIM profile is the first step in getting connected to the Verizon network.

Before you begin

Make sure you are using a Verizon-branded or unlocked device. Non-Verizon (BYOD) Prepaid devices don’t support eSIM activation.
Ensure your device is running the most current software and that you’re connected to the Verizon network or Wi-Fi.
If traveling abroad, activate your eSIM prior to your trip, as it requires the Verizon coverage to complete setup.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap
    Network & internet
    .
  3. Tap the
    Add icon
     next to SIMs.
  4. Tap
    Set up an eSIM
    .
  5. After eSIM profile is found, tap
    Set up
    .
    If prompted to contact network carrier, tap
    Done
     and start over on step 2.
  6. When the Phone activation message appears, tap
    Close
    .
Remove eSIM Profile
Enable / Disable eSIM Profile
