Verizon Cloud - Mac Desktop App - Download and Install
Here's how to download and set up Verizon Cloud on your Mac.
Learn how to download and access the Verizon Cloud desktop app to transfer content (e.g., pictures, videos, etc.) between your Mac® computer and your Verizon Cloud storage.
The Verizon Cloud desktop app is only compatible with macOS Mojave (10.14) or greater. Alternatively, use the Verizon Cloud website to download media.
- From the download page, clickDownload.Depending on your computer / browser settings, the file may be saved automatically in your Downloads directory or you can specify a location.
- From the 'Downloads' location, openmac-vzcloud-install.pkg.
- ClickContinue.
- If desired, select the install location (if you want the Cloud desktop app to be installed in a specific location) then clickContinue.
- ClickInstall.Allow a few minutes for the application to install.
- If prompted, enter your computer's username and password.
- From the 'System Extension Blocked' message, do the following:Without performing these steps, the Verizon Cloud app will not start and will result in a 'Starting Verizon Cloud' screen.
- If using Mac OS version less than Ventura:
- ClickOpen System Preferencesthen clickSecurity & Privacy.If you click 'OK' to close the message, navigate: .
- If necessary, click thelock iconat the lower-left corner to unlock the preference pane.
- At the bottom of the General tab, clickAllownext to the sentence: "System software from application 'Verizon Cloud installer' was blocked from loading."
- Click thePrivacy tab, scroll down and selectFull Disk Access.
- Ensure Verizon Cloud Extension is on

- Click thelock iconagain to lock the preference pane.
- If using Mac OS version Ventura or greater:
- ClickOpen System Settingsthen clickPrivacy & Security.If you click 'OK' to close the message, navigate: .
- In the Security section, clickAllownext to the sentence: "System software from application 'Verizon Cloud installer' was blocked from loading."
- Use Touch ID or enter your computer’s username and administrator password to unlock Privacy & Security settings.
- ClickModify Settingsto confirm.
- Scroll up, clickFull Disk Access.
- Ensure Verizon Cloud Extension is on

- When the setup wizard has completed the installation, clickClose.The Verizon Cloud icon now appears in the dock and you can sign in to your Cloud account.
