Verizon Cloud - Mac Desktop App - View Software Version / Check for Updates

Ensure your Mac® is running the most current version of the Verizon Cloud desktop app to access the latest features.
The easiest way to update to the newest version of the Verizon Cloud desktop app is to select
Update
 from the 'Update available' pop-up notification (refer to Turn Automatic Updates On / Off for more info). However, this notification requires your computer to meet certain activity requirements and may not appear immediately. Follow these steps to manually check for updates and apply the update if available.
  1. Open the Verizon Cloud desktop app using one of the following methods:
    • Select the
      Cloud icon
       Cloud icon in the menu bar (upper-right).
    • Search for
      Verizon Cloud
       in your apps list.
  2. From the toolbar, navigate:
    Menu Menu icon
    Settings
    About Cloud
    .
  3. View the Version.
    Depending on whether you're running the latest version of the desktop app, one of two messages displays below the software version:
    • If a newer version is available, the message 'A new version is available' displays. Select
      Update
       to install the newest version.
    • If running the latest version, the message 'Your software is up to date' displays and no action is necessary.
