Verizon Family - Add Time Restrictions
Here's how to add time restrictions to a Dependent's device via the Verizon Family parent app on your device.
- During time restrictions:
- Dependent's device can't call, text or use cellular data; however, 911 is always allowed.
- trusted contacts can always call and text.
- Wi-Fi can still be used.
- certain data services and apps (e.g., Data Usage Meter) are allowed.
- To perform the steps below, you need to:
- ensure the Verizon Family app is installed on the parent device.
- sign in to the app using a My Verizon user ID or mobile number that has Account Owner or Manager access privileges.
- ensure the child device is powered off prior to adding or removing restrictions.
- From the Verizon Family family app, tap theFamily Profiles tab.
- Choose the profile of the family member you wish to view.
- From the Parental Controls section, tapRestrict usage.
- TapSchedules.For lines on the 'Justkids' plan, tapLimit times for data usageto restrict data usage during certain times.
- You can perform any of the following:
- To set school hours:
- TapSchool hours.
- Select the days of the week.
- Configure the start and end time.
- Tap one of the following:
- Receive alerts during these times
- Pause devices during this schedule
- TapSave.
- To set night hours:
- TapNight hours.
- Select the days of the week.
- Configure the start and end time.
- Tap one of the following:
- Receive alerts during these times
- Pause devices during this schedule
- TapSave.
- To add a new restriction:
- TapAdd custom schedule.
- Enter a name.
- Select the days of the week.
- Configure the start and end time.
- Tap one of the following:
- Receive alerts during these times
- Pause devices during this schedule
- TapSave.
