Verizon Family - Add Time Restrictions

Here's how to add time restrictions to a Dependent's device via the Verizon Family parent app on your device.
  • During time restrictions:
    • Dependent's device can't call, text or use cellular data; however, 911 is always allowed.
    • trusted contacts can always call and text.
    • Wi-Fi can still be used.
    • certain data services and apps (e.g., Data Usage Meter) are allowed.
  • To perform the steps below, you need to:
    • ensure the Verizon Family app is installed on the parent device.
    • sign in to the app using a My Verizon user ID or mobile number that has Account Owner or Manager access privileges.
    • ensure the child device is powered off prior to adding or removing restrictions.
  1. From the Verizon Family family app, tap the
    Family Profiles tab
    .
  2. Choose the profile of the family member you wish to view.
  3. From the Parental Controls section, tap
    Restrict usage
    .
  4. Tap
    Schedules
    .
    For lines on the 'Justkids' plan, tap
    Limit times for data usage
     to restrict data usage during certain times.
  5. You can perform any of the following:
    • To set school hours:
      1. Tap
        School hours
        .
      2. Select the days of the week.
      3. Configure the start and end time.
      4. Tap one of the following:
        • Receive alerts during these times
        • Pause devices during this schedule
      5. Tap
        Save
        .
    • To set night hours:
      1. Tap
        Night hours
        .
      2. Select the days of the week.
      3. Configure the start and end time.
      4. Tap one of the following:
        • Receive alerts during these times
        • Pause devices during this schedule
      5. Tap
        Save
        .
    • To add a new restriction:
      1. Tap
        Add custom schedule
        .
      2. Enter a name.
      3. Select the days of the week.
      4. Configure the start and end time.
      5. Tap one of the following:
        • Receive alerts during these times
        • Pause devices during this schedule
