We're retiring the Verizon 3G CDMA network on 12/31/22. After the 3G network shutdown:
- 3G devices, 4G devices that don't support HD voice (Non-VoLTE), and network extenders will show "no service". Voice, text and data will not work.
- To stay connected to Verizon prepaid, you'll need a 4G LTE or 5G device. Find out more: How can I stay connected after the Verizon 3G network shuts down?
- If you don't upgrade to a 4G or 5G device your account will be canceled on 2/28/23. Any remaining funds you had for that line will be forfeited. Read our Prepaid Terms & Conditions.
