I cannot view my messages list or my email content appears garbled. What should I do?

Verizon Webmail offers users the opportunity to preview messages in a preview pane beneath the messages list.

To close the preview pane, use the (X) button located in the upper right-hand corner of the preview pane. When you close the preview pane you will open up a larger space to view more of your messages list.

Garbled email messages are usually caused by certain html tags within your message.  Do the following:

  • Double-click a message to open the contents of the message in a new window.
  • Select the drop-down menu from Options in the upper right-hand corner of the message window.
  • Select Open in Browser.
