Am I eligible to upgrade my smartphone early?
To participate, you need to:
- Purchase and activate an eligible smartphone on a Verizon device payment agreement before the offer end date below.

If I pre-ordered an eligible smartphone, do I still qualify for an early upgrade?
Yes. If you pre-order an eligible smartphone on a Verizon mobile device payment agreement, and activate it, you're eligible for the early upgrade program.

If I satisfy the requirements for an early upgrade, do I need to make the remaining payments for the eligible smartphone under my original device payment agreement?
No, you don't need to make the remaining payments.

When can I upgrade a mobile device on my Verizon account?
You can upgrade a device if your account is not past due and you bought the device you want to replace:
- At retail price - you can upgrade to a new device any time.
- With a device payment agreement - you can upgrade when any of these applies:
- You paid off your device payment agreement.*
- You do an early upgrade.
- You bought your device at a discount for signing a 2-year contract and that contract ended.
*When you pay off your device agreement, any monthly promotional credits you get for that device will stop.

What happens if I don't return my smartphone after upgrading?
If you don't return the original smartphone after you upgrade, the remaining balance of your original device payment agreement will be due on your next bill. Here's how to return your device.
