Samsung Galaxy S6 / S6 edge - Uninstall Apps

Here's how to remove or delete apps if your Galaxy S6 / S6 edge is unresponsive, freezes or an app won't open.
  • Apps included with the Android™ operating system may not have an uninstall option.
    Some apps that can't be uninstalled can be disabled (disabling apps may cause related apps to malfunction).
  • If uninstalling an app update, ensure auto-update is disabled for the specified app until the issue is resolved with the developer.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
     on your Galaxy S® 6 / S® 6 edge.
  2. Navigate:
    Apps
    Application manager
    .
  3. Locate then select the appropriate app.
    If system apps aren't visible, tap the
    Menu icon Menu icon
    Show system apps
    .
  4. Do one of the following:
    • To uninstall the app:
      1. Tap
        UNINSTALL
        .
      2. Tap
        OK
         to confirm.
    • To uninstall app updates:
      This option is only available when an update has been installed.
      1. Tap the Menu icon
        Menu icon
        .
      2. Tap
        Uninstall updates
        .
      3. Tap
        UNINSTALL
         to confirm.
