Windows 10 - Manage Tiles

Here's how to pin, unpin, resize and rearrange tiles on your Windows 10 device.
Apps, songs, shortcuts or contacts can be pinned to the Start screen and/or the Taskbar.
Expand All
  1. From the Home screen, tap the
    All apps icon
     All Apps icon (located in the upper-left) to view the apps.
    If not available, navigate:
    Start Key Start Menu icon
    All apps icon All Apps icon
    .
  2. Press and hold for 2 seconds or right-click an app.
  3. Tap or click
    "Pin to Start"
     or tap
    "More"
     then tap
    "Pin to taskbar"
    .
    The location of the Pin to Start and Pin to taskbar icons vary depending upon the item being added. Typically, the icons appear in the lower-left or lower-right.
  4. Tap the
    Pinned apps
     icon All Apps icon (located in the upper-left) to return to the Home screen.
Tiles removed from the Start screen can be re-added from their original location.
  1. From the Start screen, touch or click and hold a tile (e.g., Internet Explorer, etc.).
  2. Do one of the following:
    • Drag the tile to the desire location then release it.
    • Tap or click
      Unpin from Start
       (located in the lower-left).
    • Tap or click
      Resize
       (located in the lower-left).
  3. Tap or click an open area of the screen to lock the tiles into place.
