LG G6 - Customize Your Home Screen

Here's how to add / remove Home screen items (widgets, apps or folders) and set the wallpaper on your LG G6.
To customize the Home screen on your LG G6™ do one of the following:
  • Add Apps
  • Add Widgets
  • Add / Remove Folders
  • Remove Apps / Widgets
  • Set Wallpaper

A shortcut to an individual contact or bookmark can only be added to a Home screen via a widget.
  1. From the Apps screen, touch and hold an app.
  2. Drag and drop the shortcut to the preferred home screen.
    For the app to be successfully added, there must be sufficient space within the selected Home screen. If needed, additional Home screen panels may be added .
Widgets are mini-apps (e.g., weather, clock, calendar, etc.) that can be added to a Home screen. They aren't the same as shortcuts as they generally display info and take up more space than a single icon.
  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold an empty space.
  2. Tap
    Widgets
     (at the bottom).
  3. Touch and hold a widget.
  4. Drag the widget to the preferred Home screen then release.
    For the app to be successfully added, there must be sufficient space within the selected home screen. If needed, additional Home screen panels may be added .
  5. If applicable, tap additional options to activate widget.
    Options vary depending upon the type of widget.
  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold a shortcut (e.g., Email).
  2. Drag the shortcut on to another shortcut (e.g., Gmail) then release.
    A folder containing the shortcuts is created (titled Unnamed Folder). To rename the folder:
    1. Tap a folder.
    2. Tap the
      Title bar
       (top of the open folder).
    3. Enter a name then tap
      OK
       (lower-right).
    To remove a folder, drag the app(s) out of an existing folder until the folder disappears.
  1. From a Home screen, touch and hold the item (e.g., widget, shortcut, etc.).
  2. Drag the item to Remove
    Remove Icon
    (top) then release.
  3. Tap
    REMOVE
     .
  1. Touch and hold a blank space on a Home screen.
  2. Tap
    Wallpaper & theme
     (lower-left).
    If prompted with permissions, tap
    ALLOW
     .
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Select image from Gallery:
      1. Tap
        Gallery
         .
      2. Navigate to the appropriate folder and select an image.
      3. Crop the image as desired then tap
        OK
         .
      4. Tap
        Home screen motion
         to turn on On switch icon .
      5. Select the screens you want the wallpaper to appear on:
        Selected when a checkmark is present.
        • Home screen
        • Lock screen
      6. Tap
        Set wallpaper
         .
    • Select default image:
      1. Tap the desired default image.
      2. Tap
        Home screen motion
         to turn on On switch icon .
      3. Select the screens you want the wallpaper to appear on:
        Selected when a checkmark is present.

        • Lock screen
