Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 - Use Multi Window

Here's how to use two apps simultaneously on your Galaxy Tab S3.

The Multi window feature allows multiple apps to be run on the current screen at the same time, is turned on by default and can't be turned off.

From any screen, touch and hold the

Recent apps icon

(lower-left).

Scroll left or right to locate the preferred app then tap the app icon (e.g., Calendar, Gallery, Email, etc.) located at the top of the panel.

Do one of the following:

To open in split screen view:

Tap

Open in split screen view

From the Recent apps screen, tap the second application to be viewed.

When on, tap the Recent apps icon (lower-left) to change the current app.

Adjust the size of the apps by sliding the horizontal bar between the applications up or down.

To open in pop-up view, tap

Open in pop-up view

. Adjust any of the following as preferred:

Drag the top of the app window to move it.

Tap the

Opacity icon

then slide the blue dot left or right to adjust the opacity.

Tap the

Minimize icon

to minimize the app.

Tap the app icon at the top of the screen to reopen it.

Tap the

Maximize icon

to expand the app to full-screen.

Expanding the app exits Multi window mode and focuses on the current app.

Tap the

Close icon

to close the app.
