LG V30 - Power Up in Safe Mode

Safe mode is a diagnostic state on your LG V30 that only runs system apps so you can isolate if a third-party app is causing freezing or slowness.
  1. Ensure the device is powered off.
    An alternate method is available if the LG V30® can be powered on and is responsive.
  2. Press and hold the
    Volume Down button
     and the
    Power button
     until the System recovery screen is displays then release both buttons.
  3. Select
    Safe mode
    .
    Use the Volume buttons to highlight the option, then press the
    Power button
     to select.
  4. The device starts up with Safe mode displayed in the lower left.
    This may take up to 1 minute to complete.
  5. With Safe Mode enabled, test device and app functionality.
