Samsung Galaxy Watch
Activate / Set Up Device

Activate your Galaxy Watch to get started. This ensures you can make calls and send messages.

Before you begin

The Galaxy Watch can be set up via Number Share or as a Standalone device. To use the watch without a companion device, complete the steps below then refer to Set Up as a Standalone Device.
Ensure your Galaxy Watch3 is charged and powered on. If you're replacing an existing watch, refer to Replace Existing Device.
Install the Galaxy Wearable app on the companion Android™ smartphone. If you're pairing an existing watch with a new Android smartphone, refer to Switched Paired Phone.
If you are setting up Number Share, ensure your eSIM activation has been processed and your companion smartphone is active on the same Verizon account. Standalone mode can't be used with Number Share.
Ensure your companion Android smartphone has a cellular or Wi-Fi connection.
To unpair your companion smartphone and use the Galaxy Watch as a stand alone device, reset the watch then set up as a stand alone device.
