LG G8 ThinQ - Manage Data Usage

Here's how to change the data usage cycle and set data warnings and/or limits on your G8 ThinQ.
  • Data usage info provided by the LG G8 ThinQ™ may differ from actual usage. For accurate info and bill cycle dates, visit the My Verizon website.
    For Business Customer data, visit My Business.
  • To control data usage on your account, refer to Verizon Family™.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Network & internet
    Data usage
    .
  3. Do any of the following:
    • Change Data Usage Cycle:
      1. Tap the
        Billing cycle dropdown menu
         dropdown menu icon .
      2. Tap
        Change cycle
         .
      3. Configure the cycle date then tap
        Set
         .
        Refer to your statement for the billing cycle date.
    • Set Mobile Data Limit:
      Mobile data is turned off when the data usage reaches the limit indicated by the red line. To use apps needing data, use Wi-Fi or adjust the limit.
      1. Tap the
        Limit mobile data usage switch
         to turn on.
        If prompted, review the notification then tap
        OK
         to confirm.
      2. Tap the orange limit line.
      3. Select the desired limit (e.g., 2048 MB, etc.) then tap
        Set
        .
    • Set Mobile Data Warning:
      A notification message appears upon reaching the specified data usage level indicated by the red warning line.
      1. Tap the
        Alert me about data usage switch
         to turn on.
        If prompted, review the notification then tap
        OK
         to confirm.
      2. Tap the red warning line.
      3. Select the desired limit (e.g., 2048 MB, etc.) then tap
        Set
        .
