Enable Driving Insights

Stay informed about your child's driving safety. Turn on Driving Insights in the Verizon Family app to manage Crash Detection and trip updates

Before you begin

Ensure the latest version of the Verizon Family app is installed on the parent device.
Ensure the latest version of the Verizon Family Companion app is installed on the child's Android™ device or the iOS device.
Sign in to the app using a My Verizon user ID or mobile number that has Guardian access privileges.
Disable Low Power / Battery Saver Mode on the child's device.

Steps

  2. Tap the
    More tab
     on the bottom of the screen.
  3. Tap
    Get driving insights
    .
    Driving insights must be enabled on the Verizon Family Companion app first.
    1. Open the
      Verizon Family Companion app
      .
    2. Tap
      More
      .
    3. Tap
      Get Driving Insights
      .
    4. Tap the
      Driving Insights switch
       to turn to on or off.
  4. From the top of the screen, select the child you want to enable driving insights for.
  5. Tap the following switch(es) to turn to on or off:
    • Default Passenger Role
    • Crash Detection
    • Trip end
