Verizon Family - Using Safe Walk
Here's how to use the Safe Walk SOS feature through the Verizon Family app.
- To perform the steps below:
- ensure the Verizon Family app is installed.
- Safe Walk is set up:
- From the Home Screen Map in the Verizon Family app, tap the+ icon.
- TapSafe Walk.
- During the Safe Walk session, do any of the following:Safe Walk SOS does not call 911.
- Tap the SOS button to send an immediate SOS.
- Tap and hold the SOS button until ready to send a delayed SOS.
- Tap the 'Mark as safe' button then enter the SOS PIN to confirm yourself safe (after SOS is sent).
- You will have 10 seconds to enter your PIN to cancel the SOS. If not canceled, the SOS is sent to your emergency contacts and your live location is shared.
