The Verizon Visa Signature Credit Card Rewards Program Terms and Conditions

By applying for and opening a Verizon Visa Signature Credit Card account (a "Credit Card Account"), you agree to be automatically enrolled in the Verizon Visa Signature Card Rewards Program ("Rewards Program") and are accepting these terms and conditions ("Rewards Terms"). In order to apply for a Credit Card Account, you must be either a Verizon Account Owner or a Verizon Account Manager on a Verizon Wireless consumer post-paid account ("Verizon Wireless Account") or a Verizon Account Owner on a Verizon Fios account ("Verizon Fios Account"). In addition, by applying for and opening a Credit Card Account, you also agree to be automatically enrolled in any other Verizon rewards program that may now or in the future govern your Verizon Wireless Account and/or Verizon Fios Account. If there are any conflicts between these Rewards Terms and the terms for any such other program, these Rewards Terms will govern with respect to the Rewards Program.

    1. General

The Rewards Program allows you to earn rewards (referred to as "Verizon Dollars") on purchases made with your Credit Card Account. If your Credit Card Account is not in good standing, then you will not be able to earn any Verizon Dollars.

In these Rewards Terms, "you" and "your" means the card holder. "We," "our" and "us" means Verizon. "Bank" means Synchrony Bank or its assignees. The Rewards Program is managed, provided and operated by Verizon. The Rewards Program is subject to any agreements you have for services with Verizon, including with respect to any Verizon Wireless Account and/or Verizon Fios Account, as applicable. We may at any time and for any reason change, limit or terminate any aspect of the Rewards Program or these Rewards Terms, or revoke your participation in the Rewards Program at any time for any reason. Changes may apply retroactively and may affect outstanding transactions and Verizon Dollars. For more information, go to https://www.verizon.com/support/verizon-visa-card-faqs/. Verizon Dollars have no cash value and are issued for rewards purposes only and cannot be purchased, sold, transferred, redeemed for cash or security deposits for Verizon Wireless Account services or Verizon Fios Account services.

    2. Verizon Rewards Bank

Each type of Verizon account, whether a Verizon Wireless Account and/or Verizon Fios Account, will have one rewards bank ("Rewards Bank") established by Verizon at the time the first Credit Card Account is opened that is linked to such Verizon Wireless Account or Verizon Fios Account (regardless of whether the Credit Card Account is opened by an Account Owner or any Account Manager). For any Verizon Wireless Account, any additional Credit Card Accounts opened and linked to that Verizon Wireless Account will be assigned to the initial Rewards Bank established. All Verizon Dollars earned by all Credit Card Accounts linked to that Verizon Wireless Account and/or Verizon Fios Account will be deposited into such Verizon Wireless Account's Rewards Bank or Verizon Fios Account's Rewards Bank.

If you ever transfer your Verizon service from that initial Verizon Wireless Account or Verizon Fios Account where your Rewards Bank was established, then Verizon will automatically move the Verizon Dollars from the original Rewards Bank earned through your Credit Card Account to the new Rewards Bank associated with that new or different Verizon Wireless Account or Verizon Fios Account. Any Verizon Dollars earned by you on such new or different Verizon Wireless Account or Verizon Fios Account after such service change will be issued to the new Rewards Bank.

    3. Earning Verizon Dollars

You will earn Verizon Dollars for every purchase of eligible goods and/or services made by you or any authorized user on your Credit Card Account, minus any returns, refunds or credit adjustments (each a "Net New Purchase"). The earned amount, per transaction, will be rounded to the nearest penny. Verizon Dollars earned each month will be posted to your monthly Credit Card Account billing statement within 1-2 Credit Card Account billing cycles.

    • 4% in Verizon Dollars for every Net New Purchase of gas and at electric vehicle (“EV”) charging stations. Gas purchases include purchases of fuel at gas stations identified as "Service Stations" or "Automated Fuel Dispensers." Gas stations do not include merchants of aviation or other non-automotive fuels. EV charging station purchases include purchases at EV charging stations identified as "Electric Vehicle Charging".
    • 4% in Verizon Dollars for every Net New Purchase of groceries. Grocery purchases include purchases made at grocery stores and supermarkets.
    • 4% in Verizon Dollars for every Net New Purchase made at restaurants. Restaurants are generally identified as restaurants, drinking places, fast food places and caterers.
    • 4% in Verizon Dollars for every Net New Purchase made at a Verizon operated store, Verizon online, over the phone with a Verizon representative or at an exclusive Verizon Authorized Retailer. Verizon purchases include purchases of devices and accessories but do not include the payment of your Verizon Wireless Account bill and/or Verizon Fios Account bill.
    • 1% in Verizon Dollars for every Net New Purchase made for the payment of your Verizon Wireless Account bill and/or your Verizon Fios Account bill.
    • 1% in Verizon Dollars for all other Net New Purchases made on your Credit Card Account everywhere else Visa is accepted, including any "big box" retailers such as Walmart or Best Buy that offer Verizon services.

There is no limit on earning Verizon Dollars for any of the Net New Purchases listed above.

The percentage in Verizon Dollars earned on Net New Purchases is determined by the merchant category code ("MCC") associated with the purchase. The MCC code is a four-digit classification code that is assigned to a merchant by the merchant's payment card network or merchant processor based on the predominant business activity of the merchant (e.g., gas station, grocery store, etc.). The merchant's MCC code will determine how a particular purchase qualifies to receive the percentage in Verizon Dollars. For example, a dining purchase at the cafe area of a department store may have an MCC identification as a type of merchant other than a dining establishment and therefore would not qualify as a dining purchase under these Rewards Terms, or an EV Charging Station purchase made at a merchant of parking lots, parking meters or parking garages may have an MCC identification as a type of merchant other than an EV Charging Station and therefore would not qualify as an EV purchase under these Rewards Terms. Similarly, grocery purchases at Walmart, Target or other "big box" retailers may not qualify as grocery purchases. Neither Verizon, nor Bank assigns or has responsibility for the assignment of MCCs or evaluates what MCC should be assigned to a particular merchant. Bank reserves the right to determine, from time to time, which MCCs qualify for a particular category of purchases. Verizon and Bank are not responsible for awarding Verizon Dollars for purchases at merchants who do not accurately report transactions using the MCC codes described above.

Verizon Dollars are not earned on the following: unauthorized or fraudulent charges, the purchase of debt cancellation products, cash advances, balance transfers, interest or fees on your Credit Card Account.

    4. Viewing, Accessing and Redeeming Verizon Dollars

Verizon Dollars can be viewed, accessed and redeemed as set forth below. If you redeem any Verizon Dollars, the balance of your Verizon Dollars will be immediately reduced by the number of Verizon Dollars redeemed.

    • If you are only a Verizon Wireless Account holder: To view, access, and redeem your Verizon Dollars, log into either the Verizon Wireless Account that was used to open your Credit Card Account or to any Verizon Wireless Account where you saved your Credit Card Account as a payment method with Verizon.
    • If you are only a Verizon Fios Account holder: To view, access, and redeem your Verizon Dollars, log into the Verizon Fios Account that you used to open your Credit Card Account or to any Verizon Fios Account where you saved your Credit Card Account as a payment method with Verizon.
    • If you are both a Verizon Wireless Account holder and a Verizon Fios Account holder: You can only view, access and redeem your Verizon Dollars by logging in to the Verizon account type where you opened your Credit Card Account. If you opened your Credit Card Account through your Verizon Wireless Account, then you can only view, access and redeem rewards through logging in to your Verizon Wireless Account directly with Verizon. If you opened your Credit Card Account through your Verizon Fios Account, then you can only view, access and redeem rewards through logging in to your Verizon Fios Account directly with Verizon.
    • If the Rewards Bank is associated with a Verizon Wireless Account and your Credit Card Account is stored as a payment method on any Verizon Wireless Account: Any Verizon Wireless Account Owner and/or any Verizon Wireless Account Manager on such Verizon Wireless Account where your Credit Card Account is stored will also be able to view, access and redeem your Verizon Dollars. If a Verizon Wireless Account has more than one Credit Card Account stored, each with its own Rewards Bank, the Rewards Bank with the highest Verizon Dollars balance will be used for redemption first.
    • If the Rewards Bank is associated with a Verizon Wireless Account and you are no longer a Verizon Wireless Account Owner or Verizon Wireless Account Manager for any Verizon Wireless Account, or if you are a Verizon Wireless Account Member: You will not be able to access, view or redeem Verizon Dollars regardless of whether any Verizon Dollars are shown on your Credit Card Account billing statement, on Bank's servicing site or otherwise.
    • If the Rewards Bank is associated with a Verizon Fios Account and you are no longer a Verizon Fios Account Owner: You will not be able to access, view or redeem Verizon Dollars regardless of whether any Verizon Dollars are shown on your Credit Card Account billing statement, on Bank's servicing site or otherwise.

    5. Reimbursement of Verizon Dollars When Purchases are Exchanged or Returned

Verizon Dollars used towards a purchase made on your Credit Card Account that is later returned or exchanged will be reimbursed in the form of Verizon Dollars as follows:

    1. The Verizon Wireless Account or Verizon Fios Account that was associated with the original purchase now being returned or exchanged must be open at the time of any such return or exchange.
    2. If your Credit Card Account has been closed, then any such return or exchange must also be made within ninety (90) days of the closure of your Credit Card Account.
    3. In the event Verizon Dollars are ever accepted at merchants other than Verizon, if you make any return or exchange at any such merchant, you will not be reimbursed in the form of Verizon Dollars and the applicable merchant’s return, or exchange policy will govern.

In all other circumstances, your Verizon Dollars will not be reimbursed and will be immediately forfeited.

    6. Forfeiting Verizon Dollars

Verizon Dollars earned through purchases made on your Credit Card Account are subject to various forfeiture rules as set forth in these Rewards Terms above and as set forth below. You will not be entitled to and will not receive any compensation from us or the Bank for any forfeited Verizon Dollars.

    • Rewards Program Inactivity.
If there is no Rewards Program activity for twenty-four (24) consecutive calendar months, you will forfeit any unused Verizon Dollars. "Rewards Program activity" means (i) any transaction using your Credit Card Account and/or (ii) any activity involving Verizon Dollars.
    • Credit Card Account Closure.
If your Credit Card Account has been closed for any reason and there are no other Credit Card Accounts linked to your Verizon Wireless Account or Verizon Fios Account, your Verizon Dollars will remain active for ninety (90) days from such account closure. Any unused Verizon Dollars will be forfeited after this ninety (90) day period.
    • Verizon Wireless Account Closure or Cancellation.
If your Verizon Wireless Account is closed or cancelled for any reason, then any unused Verizon Dollars will be immediately forfeited and you will not be able to access, redeem or use any such Verizon Dollars regardless of whether any Verizon Dollars are shown on your Credit Card Account billing statement, on Bank’s servicing site or otherwise.
    • Verizon Fios Account Closure or Cancellation.
If your Verizon Fios Account is closed or cancelled for any reason, then any unused Verizon Dollars will be immediately forfeited and you will not be able to access, redeem or use any Verizon Dollars regardless of whether any Verizon Dollars are shown on your Credit Card Account billing statement, on Bank’s servicing site or otherwise.
