Advanced Settings - Verizon Jetpack® 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot - AC791L

Here's how to change the advanced settings (LAN, etc.) on your 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot - AC791L.
Changing advanced settings may be harmful to the stability, performance and security of the Jetpack. Contact your local IT admin prior to altering any of these settings.

DNS

You may automatically assign Domain Name Server (DNS) settings by the device. If enabling manual DNS is necessary, contact your local IT admin for assistance.
  2. From the left menu, click
    Jetpack Settings
    .
  3. From the Advanced tab, click
    Continue
    .
  4. Click
    DNS
    .
  5. From the DNS mode section, select one of the following options:
    • Manual
    • Automatic
  6. If selecting Manual, fill in the required fields:
    • DNS 1 IP address
    • DNS 2 IP address
  7. Click
    Save
     (at the bottom).
    The Save option only appears when a change is made.

Firewall

  2. From the left menu, click
    Jetpack Settings
    .
  3. From the Advanced tab, click
    Continue
    .
  4. Click
    Firewall
    .
  5. Click the
    VPN passthrough switch
     to enable or disable.
    Enabled when the switch is blue.
  6. From the DMZ (IPv4) section, click the
    DMZ switch
     to enable or disable.
    Enabled when the switch is blue.
