Children who witness domestic violence can suffer profound lifelong negative impacts. By dedicating our resources toward healing, victim advocacy and support, education and character development, Verizon aims to help break the cycle of violence to help restore hope for a brighter future.

Featured grant recipients

Alliance for HOPE International

Verizon is partnering with the Alliance for HOPE International to support the Camp HOPE America program that focuses on helping children heal from trauma and work through their emotions and challenges to create a pathway of hope.

Break the Cycle

With Verizon’s support, Break the Cycle is creating a national Youth Coalition, a network of people who educate, support and catalyze youth to act to end violence in their lives.

Futures Without Violence

Verizon is supporting the development of an online education platform that is part of the groundbreaking Changing Minds initiative, a national trauma prevention and education program. The platform will educate individuals on trauma-informed approaches in education.

Joyful Heart Foundation

Verizon has been a longtime supporter of the Joyful Heart Foundation’s mission:  to transform society’s response to sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse, support survivors’ healing, and end this violence forever.

NFL / United Way

Verizon is providing Character PlaybookTM, a digital and interactive program focused on educating students on how to cultivate and maintain healthy relationships during their middle school years in 11 markets across the US.


Verizon supported the creation of LIVERESPECT Coaching Healthy & Respectful Manhood Curriculum and provides funding to train mentors who deliver the curriculum in schools.
