How to manage payment methods

Paying your bill is quicker when you set up a saved payment method. Once it's set up you don't have to enter your checking or credit/debit card info each time you pay.

Payment Methods

    Add a new payment method

    You can add a checking account, credit or debit card as a payment method in the My Verizon app or online in My Verizon:

    • My Verizon app: Tap the Menu icon in the top left, tap Bill, then Settings, then Manage payment methods and follow the prompts.
    • Online in My Verizon: Go to the Manage Payment Accounts page, select Add account or Add card and follow the prompts.
      • If you want to use Auto Pay with the new account, check Yes, let's set up Auto Pay.

    Also, when you pay a bill the app or online using a new payment method, you'll have the option to save that information as a payment method.

    Edit or change a payment method

    To edit or change a payment method:

    • My Verizon app: Tap the Menu icon in the top left, tap Bill, then Settings, then Manage payment methods and follow the prompts.
    • Online in My Verizon: Go to the Manage Payment Accounts page, select the payment method you want to change and follow the prompts.

    If you aren't able to edit a payment methods details for security reasons (e.g., a credit card’s numbers can’t be changed), you can set up a new payment method with the updated information and delete the old one.
