Belmont has partnered with Verizon Business and Masters Telecom for a game-changing upgrade. Together, they’re replacing the town’s legacy phone system with over 950 new, powerful One Talk phones. This isn’t just a simple update; it’s a commitment to raising the bar on customer service and boosting operational efficiency across local government agencies.

What this means for Belmont residents

With the cutting-edge One Talk system, town offices will now have access to the latest in call-handling technology, bringing greater flexibility, scalability, and integration. When this new system is combined with a recent 1,200 line smartphone upgrade for town staff, the benefits become clear:

“Thanks to Verizon and Masters Telecom, we have a much more efficient communications infrastructure for our town,” said Sam Ross, Belmont’s assistant director of IT. “This allows us to better serve our more than 27,000 residents, and our 4,400 students in Belmont Public Schools.”
