Verizon names Christina Schelling as Executive Vice President, Chief People Officer

I am pleased to announce that Christina Schelling has been appointed Executive Vice President, Chief People Officer.

Since joining Verizon in 2022, Christina has reimagined how we attract top talent and help our employees grow their careers. She has challenged us to rethink how we prepare our workforce for the future and develop the capabilities we need to lead the industry. She has also played a critical role in our transformation workstreams, turning strategy into action and helping drive new ways of working. Christina has accelerated AI fluency and adoption across the enterprise through the development of AI Unlocked, as well as championed how we harness technology to work smarter, strengthen our talent practices and equip our people to better serve our customers’ evolving needs.

Christina has demonstrated exactly the kind of leadership we need as we transform our company. She has earned the trust and confidence of her team and the broader leadership team, bringing a strong vision for our future, a deep understanding of our business and a commitment to elevating the employee experience. Having worked closely with Christina over the past year, I have seen how she steps up to challenges, drives progress and cares for our employees and our customers. It was clear to me that we had the right leader here at Verizon, and there is no one better equipped to lead our people organization through this pivotal time for our company.
