Prepaid Billing & Payments FAQs

You can check your account balance and expiration date in My Verizon or by calling:

• #BAL (#225) from your prepaid phone
• 888-294-6804 from any phone

In the My Verizon app, tap the Menu icon and then tap Payment.

Here are ways you can add funds to your prepaid account:

• My Verizon – Sign in to the app or website to pay. You can save a preferred payment method, too.
  • Sign in for Quick Pay – Quick Pay offers a one-tap method to add money to your balance and enroll for Auto Pay.
• Prepaid Instant Pay – Pay online even if you aren't signed in to My Verizon.
• Set up Auto Pay – Sign in to the My Verizon app or website and set up for your account to automatically refill. Also get a per line discount on select monthly phone plans.
• Call #PMT (#768) from your prepaid phone – Make a payment over the phone.

All payments are immediately applied to your account.

Add funds to your prepaid account using any of these credit cards:

• Visa®
• Mastercard®
• Discover®
• American Express®

View or change your payment method.

You can use any of these forms of payment for Verizon prepaid activation fees and device purchases:

• Visa
• Mastercard
• Discover
• American Express
• PayPal®
• Apple Pay®
• Verizon prepaid refill card

The Payment History page in My Verizon for prepaid shows your payment activity for the past 18 months, including the following information for each transaction:

• Date paid
• Amount paid (including a breakdown of any taxes and surcharges)
• Payment method

You can also print or email your payment history from this page.

If you're unable to pay the full amount due, your device becomes unusable until you pay the entire monthly fee.

Good to Know: Your monthly access fee due date is different from your account expiration date, Your expiration date is based on the last time you made a payment to your prepaid account.

Add funds to your account.

A new expiration date is set each time you make a payment to your account.

It's set differently depending on when you signed up for your prepaid plan.

• I signed up for my prepaid plan AFTER 11/6/18
  As long as you renew your plan within 60 days of the plan renewal date, your account will stay active and your payments won't expire.
• I signed up for my prepaid plan BEFORE 11/6/18
  Once applied to your account, payments expire as follows:

If you make a payment to your account before your expiration date, any unused balance will carry over and expire on your new expiration date.

If you don't make another payment before the expiration date, any remaining balance on your account will be lost and you may not be able to keep your mobile number.

Auto Pay is a service you can set up to deduct payments automatically from a credit or debit card.

Your Auto Pay payment will be automatically aligned to your plan's expiration date. Here's how Auto Pay works:

• Auto Pay uses any remaining account balance, then charges the rest of your monthly payment to your credit/debit card.
• Auto Pay amount adjusts automatically when you make changes to your plan or add-ons.
• Save up to $10/month with our Auto Pay discount for Unlimited Plus, Unlimited and 15GB prepaid phone plans. Talk & Text plans save $5/month.

You can set up Auto Pay in My Verizon.

To get the Auto Pay discount:

1. Have a current prepaid phone plan.* You can view and change your plan in My Verizon.
   
   Good to Know: Certain older prepaid plans may be eligible for the Auto Pay discount. If you set up Auto Pay and don't see the discount applied, you can switch to a current prepaid phone plan to receive the discount.
2. Set up Auto Pay.

You'll see the monthly Auto Pay discount applied to your plan in My Verizon.

*The Auto Pay discount isn't available with current prepaid data-only plans.

Quick Pay simplifies the existing payment process in the My Verizon app or website by providing a one-tap method that makes it easier for you to add money to your balance and enroll for Auto Pay.

You can purchase refill cards from a Verizon store.

You can add a refill card or PIN to your account online by entering your refill card number or PIN in My Verizon.
