Verizon Dollars FAQs

Verizon Dollars rewards you for maintaining an active standard monthly Verizon mobile and/or Verizon Home Internet (wireless or Fios) service and paying your entire monthly Verizon bill on time each month.*

After you join, get 3% back on your total Verizon mobile and/or Fios bill each month. This includes your service(s), new phones — even taxes and fees. Get even more Verizon Dollars when you're a Verizon Visa CardⓇ holder.

*Verizon prepaid services aren't eligible for Verizon Dollars.

You can use your Verizon Dollars for:*

• New phones, tablets or smartwatches.
• Accessories including cases and chargers.
• Gift cards from participating merchants.
• Hotels and resorts through the Verizon Travel platform in the My Verizon app.
• As a Verizon Visa Card holder, you can apply Verizon Dollars toward your Verizon Visa Card bill. You also have the option to apply Verizon Dollars toward your Verizon mobile and/or Fios bill.

*Verizon Dollars have no monetary value outside of the program. You can't sell, transfer or trade your Verizon Dollars for cash.

You're eligible to get Verizon Dollars if you have a standard monthly mobile plan or a Verizon Home Internet (wireless or Fios) monthly plan* and you sign up on the My Verizon app.

Sign up through the My Verizon app to start receiving your Verizon Dollars. If you have a Verizon Visa Card, we register you automatically.

To enroll in Verizon Dollars:

1. Open the My Verizon app and select the Me tab.
2. Tap the Verizon Dollars tile.
3. Follow the prompts to complete your enrollment.

You get waived mobile activation and upgrade fees when you opt in to Verizon Dollars. Sign in to My Verizon to get started.

Good to know: Verizon Visa Cardholders are automatically enrolled.

No, you don't need to be a Verizon Visa Card holder to sign up and begin receiving Verizon Dollars.

Yes, Verizon Dollars is a loyalty rewards program, not a plan pricing discount. If you get a military, first responder or another eligibility-based discount on your plan, you still earn Verizon Dollars on your total monthly bill — including the discounted amount. The 2 programs work together.

Yes, it's possible we could modify, restrict or terminate the program or its features, like earning percentages, redemption rules and eligibility criteria.

No, you can't sell, transfer, or trade your Verizon Dollars.

If you leave Verizon, you lose all your Verizon Dollars. You keep them as long as you have at least one active, eligible service, such as mobile or Home Internet (wireless or Fios).

Yes, all Verizon Dollars earned by Verizon Visa Cardholders on the same wireless account accumulate together in the shared Verizon Dollar Bank.

Verizon Dollars can be managed through the Verizon Dollars dashboard in the My Verizon app. You can also manage your Verizon Dollars balance in My Verizon website or through the Verizon Visa Card app.

Good to know: Linking your mobile and Fios accounts with one Verizon ID means you only enroll once. You earn rewards for both automatically.

Redeeming your Verizon Dollars is simplest in the My Verizon app, and you can complete some purchases on the My Verizon website too. Gift cards and hotel stays are available through the Verizon Dollars portal in the app.

Apply Verizon Dollars to a purchase

Use your Verizon Dollars toward a new phone, tablet, smartwatch or accessory. You can do this in the My Verizon app or on the My Verizon website.

To apply them at checkout in the app:

1. Open the My Verizon app and select Shop.
2. Add your items to the cart and select Checkout.
3. On the order review page, select Redeem Verizon Dollars.
4. Enter the amount you want to use, select Apply, then select Done.

Your order total updates to show the Verizon Dollars you applied.

Redeem through the Verizon Dollars portal

Use the portal to redeem your Verizon Dollars for gift cards and hotel stays. The portal is available in the My Verizon app only.

1. Open the My Verizon app and tap the Me tab.
2. Select Redeem inside the Verizon Dollars tile.
3. Tap the Explore brand offers tile on your Verizon Dollars dashboard.

The app takes you to the Verizon Dollars Reward Portal, where you can pick your reward.

If you have a Verizon Visa Card: You also have extra ways to use your Verizon Dollars. Apply them to your Verizon mobile or Fios bill, or toward your Verizon Visa Card balance.

Verizon Dollars have no cash value, and you can't sell, transfer or trade them for cash.

You can see your balance in the My Verizon app.

Open the My Verizon app:

1. Tap the Me tab.
2. Look under Verizon Loyalty.

When you pay your full bill on time, your Verizon Dollars become available in your My Verizon app about 10 days after the bill due date.

Verizon issues Verizon Dollars for your:

• Verizon mobile bill - bills dated on or after 7/1/26 (due 7/25/26 or later)
• Verizon Fios bill - bills dated on or after 9/1/26 (due 9/25/26 or later)

Keep in mind: Bills dated before these dates don't count.

Only Verizon Visa Cardholders can use Verizon Dollars to pay their Verizon bill. You have 2 ways to do this:

• One-time redemption - Use your Verizon Dollars for a single payment.
• Set up Auto Redeem (mobile bill only) - Automatically pay your Verizon mobile bill with your rewards each month.*

Yes, you can redeem available Verizon Dollars as a statement credit toward your Visa Card balance (beginning 7/1/26).

To redeem rewards for a statement credit, visit the Verizon Visa Card app (available through an app store on your mobile device) or Synchrony Account Manager:

Log into Verizon Visa app:

1. Select Go to Account.
2. Select Rewards Balance to select your amount.

Log into Synchrony Account Manager:

1. Select Redeem to select your amount.

Important:

• Verizon Dollar redemption for statement credits applied to your Verizon Visa Card account are final and non-refundable.
• Statement credits may take up to 3 business days to post to your account.
• Statement credits will reduce your balance, but you are still required to make at least your minimum payment.

Yes, Verizon Dollars can be used to pay the remaining Device Payment Agreement balance for a device that's eligible for an early upgrade.

Yes, your Verizon Dollars can expire:

• If you're not a Verizon Visa Card holder - Your Verizon Dollars expire 12 months after you get them.
• If you're a Verizon Visa Card holder - There's no expiration on Verizon Dollars, but they'll be forfeited if your account has 24 consecutive months of program inactivity. "Program activity" means either getting or spending any Verizon Dollars.

The system uses the Verizon Dollars that are expiring first. This helps you keep your Verizon Dollars longer.

For Verizon Visa Card statement credits, rewards can be redeemed in any increment, not necessarily whole-dollar amounts.

One Verizon Dollar equals one dollar of statement credit when redeemed toward the Verizon Visa Card balance.

No, for a Verizon Visa Card statement credit, the redemption amount can't exceed either your available Verizon Dollar balance or your current Verizon Visa Card statement balance.

To earn Verizon Dollars, pay your full bill on time each month. Payments made late or partial payments disqualify you from earning Verizon Dollars for that bill cycle. Additionally, accounts with late fees or outstanding balances do not earn Verizon Dollars.

Keep in mind: Only Verizon mobile bills dated 7/1/26 (or later) and Verizon Fios bills dated 9/1/26 (or later) qualify for the program. Typically, earned Verizon Dollars are posted 10-12 days after the bill due date, when the bill is paid in full and on time.

We show 2 different balances because we don’t link your accounts automatically. We keep your Verizon Dollars separate until you connect your accounts under one Verizon ID through My Verizon.

Your full Verizon Dollars balance takes up to 48 hours to show up after you link your accounts under one Verizon ID. The system needs this time to update your records across both services.

No, if your account is suspended, you can't spend your Verizon Dollars until it's reinstated.

If we have to terminate a participant's enrollment because of a violation of the terms, false information or fraudulent activity, accumulated Verizon Dollars may be immediately forfeited.

Some redemption options may require a minimum Verizon Dollars balance. Also, your available rewards may differ depending on the redemption option you're trying to use.

If you redeem Verizon Dollars for a Verizon Visa Card statement credit, that credit is final and non-refundable.
