MCI WorldCom, Inc. Declares Three-For-Two Stock Split

CLINTON, MS (November 18, 1999) - MCI WORLDCOM, Inc.
(NASDAQ:WCOM) today announced that the Board of Directors has declared
a three-for-two stock split to be effected as a 50% stock dividend. The
new shares will be distributed December 30, 1999, to shareholders of
record as of the close of business on December 15, 1999. Cash will be
paid in lieu of fractional shares.
MCI WorldCom is a global leader in communications services with 1998
revenues of more than $30 billion and operations in more than 65
countries. MCI WorldCom's global networks provide high-capacity
connectivity to more than 45,000 buildings worldwide. MCI WorldCom and
Sprint have announced an agreement to merge, which the companies expect
to close in the second half of 2000, following regulatory and
shareholder approvals. The new company will be called WorldCom. For
