Patric Welch helps others overcome their technology fears and frustrations on his blog, Noobie.com. In this post, he shares how the Mophie Juice Pack Powerstation conveniently solves technological complications caused by insufficient battery life.
As much as we all love our gadgets, one of the biggest complaints I hear about them is their battery life. Some gadgets like the iPhone can’t make it through a day of normal use without running out of battery. Others like the Droid RAZR MAXX are much better but still top out at about a day and a half.
And it seems like the battery always goes out at the worst time. Like right when you are about to go out for the night or, in my kids’ case, when their friends come over to play.
The Mophie Juice Pack Powerstation (one in a series of Juice Pack products) aims to solve this problem and let me tell you, it does it well. Here’s how it works. You start by charging the Juice Pack itself either by connecting it to your computer’s USB port with the included cable or by plugging it into a USB adapter (not included but you probably already have one with your smartphone or tablet).
Then, when your gadget runs out of “juice”, you plug your gadget into the Juice Pack to charge it.
There’s several advantages to charging your gadgets with the Juice Pack over a standard electrical outlet. For starters, if you are in a car, at an event, or at some location where you don’t have access to an electrical outlet, the Juice Pack serves as an excellent alternative. And since the Juice Pack itself is about the same size as a smartphone, it’s easy to carry around with you or store in your car.
