Up to Speed 4-6

It's our week in review recapping the past week in Verizon news. First, we discuss our newly released Humanability commercial which features Verizon Innovative Learning, and we look at a tweet shared by LeBron James talking about our program. Second, we launched new deals on smartphones and devices. Next, we take a look at our latest new Best For A Good Reason video. And, we're commemorating the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s death. The network team installed more antennas in Memphis, TN so attendees would have a great experience on our network.

The stories.

Help Verizon choose the next middle school to invest in.

We're investing over $200 million more into our Verizon Innovative Learning program. This brings our total commitment to over $400 million in tech education resources across the country. Our goal is to reach 5 million kids by 2023. You can nominate the next school.

50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr’s death

When Martin Luther King Jr checked into Room 306 of the Lorraine Motel, one of the few in Memphis to give black Americans a friendly welcome, the eyes of the world were upon him.

Our Network story is being told through the lens of our Network Engineers.

We call it: Best for a Good Reason.
