Verizon adds Phoenix to its growing list of 5G cities.

Verizon announced its 10th 5G city will go live this Friday: Phoenix, AZ. Businesses and customers in the city will soon be able to experience the incredible speed and bandwidth of 5G. Right now, there’s 5G coverage available in some popular spots around the city including the Talking Stick Resort Arena (home of the Phoenix Suns), Chase Field (home of the Arizona Diamondbacks), the Phoenix Convention Center, and on Arizona State University Campus in Tempe. 

Tech YouTuber Marques Brownlee tests out 5G in Providence.

This week, popular tech YouTuber Marques Brownlee shared a new video on his channel of his own real-life 5G phone test. Marques bought a 5G Samsung Galaxy S10 5G on Verizon’s network and drove to Providence, R.I., one of Verizon’s recent 5G cities. He did a speed test that clocked in at 1.9 GB per second and was able to download an episode of Stranger Things in just 4 seconds. In the video, Marques also breaks down the technology behind 5G. The Samsung Galaxy Note10 is available in stores tomorrow.

Tomorrow, all models of the Samsung Galaxy Note10, including the Note10+ 5G, will be available online and in Verizon stores. Some of its features include the S Pen, which allows you to draw and turn handwriting into text easily, and its multi-camera system can capture incredible video, and let you add your own special effects. Its business features are noteworthy as well, including Samsung DeX software which allows you to seamlessly link your work on your phone to your Mac or PC, and Knox which is a state-of-the-art security system to protect all your data.
