As 2019 comes to close, Andy Choi took a look back at some of his favorite moments of the year. Here’s the year in review in his own words:
My top moment of the year has to be all things 5G. From Hans’ keynote at CES, where we heard about the eight currencies of 5G, to launching new 5G cities, stadiums, and arenas. With some help from my alter-egos, I showed you around our Chicago 5G apartment for the launch of 5G Home Internet. And not too long ago Hans was back in Vegas to launch our partnership with Amazon Web Services as we became the first tech company in the world to deliver 5G MEC - mobile edge computing.
It’s also been a great year for our business customers. We’re showing the world how Verizon keeps them business ready. From JetBlue, Xerox, Madison Square Garden, and Anthem, these are just a few of the countless businesses we support.
While we are on the topic of our customers, earlier this year, we launched our new mix and match plan, complete with a unique online quiz courtesy of our quiz master Rachel.
A big event I was honored to be a part of this year was our Inside Verizon webcast. We covered everything from how we use VR in our training, to how to use tech for good with Visible and Skyward.
Finally, this year we saw countless examples of how V Teamers continue to run towards a crisis and offer a helping hand. We saw this during the Kincade and Tick wildfires, Hurricane Dorian, and wherever disaster struck..
It is awesome to know, wherever we land on this map, amazing stories about our V Team are everywhere. I cannot wait to share more great stories with you in 2020.
