Work Green. Live Green.

Today on Up To Speed: 10 years in the making and this is just the beginning.

V Teamers work for sustainability across the globe.

In Hyderabad, India, a group of twenty V Teamers worked together to plant trees at a local college, and improve the green coverage in their area. There are over 1,800 Green Team members in India, and they have four more events planned throughout the year. On the other side of the globe, in Bedminster, NJ, the Green Team hosted a recycle rally to help people in the area properly dispose of their old electronics. Verizon has committed to recycling 4 million pounds of electronics by 2020.

10 years of going green and still going strong.

Verizon is proud to celebrate its 10th year of going green and making serious commitments to sustainability efforts. From solar panels to e-waste recycling, we’ve got a new video that shows just how serious we take our commitment to the environment. From our $1 billion dollar green bond, to our goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2035, we made headlines this year as a company that is truly committed to sustainability. But our most important green asset is our people. There are 30,000 Green Team members in 50 countries around the globe working towards a shared goal of making this world a greener place.
