According to the Verizon State of the Market: Enterprise Cloud 2014 Report, 71% of enterprises surveyed are running external facing production applications in the cloud, up from 60% in 2013. Additionally, when selecting cloud services enterprises are increasingly focused on identifying each workload’s unique security profile, elasticity requirements and economic impact. This changes the conversation from virtual machine count and private vs public cloud to the right technology solution for the business. As a result, we’re seeing more hybrid solutions involving a variety of cloud vendors, along with a mixture of private, virtual private and public cloud to suit different cloud workload needs.
Given this, Verizon recognizes that a more streamlined approach to cloud workload management is needed to help our customer manage their cloud services. With Verizon’s new cloud console, users can access and manage all of their Verizon cloud services in one unified cloud console. The simple-to-use, single user interface combines an enterprise-class platform with seamless access, design, deployment and control.
