Verizon Business Teams With USO of Metropolitan Washington for New USO Lounges at Reagan National, Dulles International Airports
WASHINGTON -Verizon Business today announced it has teamed up with the USO of Metropolitan Washington as the Premier Partner of the new USO Lounge at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and as a Partner at the new lounge at Washington Dulles International Airport.
Verizon Business is currently a Partner at the USO lounge at the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. With today's announcement, Verizon Business is the first USO-Metro Partner to provide financial support to all three area airport USO lounges.

Establishing these lounges at Dulles International and Reagan National airports, along with our ongoing work at BWI Marshall, continues our company's long history of commitment to the U.S. armed forces and their families," said Jerry Edgerton, group president for Verizon Federal, the sales organization within Verizon Business dedicated to serving the federal government. "Helping troops stay connected is a gesture of appreciation for the sacrifices they make every day."
In addition to providing sustaining funding for the lounges, Verizon Federal will provide free phone calling anywhere in the world via wireless phones using Verizon Business' voice-over-Internet protocol service. Verizon Federal makes resources, technology and employee support available to military personnel and their families around the world.

The new Reagan National Airport lounge, opening later this year, will be located on the lower level entrance of Terminal A and will replace a less-accessible location. At nearly 800 square feet, the lounge will serve active duty military and National Guard personnel, reservists, retirees, merchant marines, and their dependents who travel to, from and through Reagan National Airport each year. The space has been donated to USO-Metro by the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority and will be staffed primarily by USO volunteers.
The Dulles lounge, also expected to open later this year, will be strategically located on the arrivals level next to the international arrivals building, convenient to ground transportation and the new walkway to Daily Garage 1. The space, containing 750 square feet, has been donated to USO-Metro by the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority.
