Xerox Corporation Chooses MCI WorldCom For Local Service In More Than 80 Domestic Locations
STAMFORD, CT and CLINTON, Miss., August 31, 1999 -- MCI
WorldCom [NASDAQ: WCOM] today announced a multi-million dollar contract
for domestic local services in more than 80 locations with Xerox
Corporation [NYSE: XRX], a leading global provider of document
management products and services.

Under terms of the contract, MCI WorldCom will provide
facilities-based local service to Xerox at locations in 20 states
including: New York, Connecticut, Georgia, Washington D.C., Maryland,
Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Florida, Texas, Arizona, Colorado,
California, Washington, Arkansas, Kansas, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma
and Oregon. MCI WorldCom also provides Xerox with conferencing, private
data and Internet services.
