Battery Basics
Battery life depends on the network, signal strength, temperature, features and accessories used.
It's common for batteries to be warm from use or charging.
This device has a Type-C charging port which allows for more data throughput and can support technologies such as Adaptive Fast Charging.
Use only manufacturer-approved chargers.
Charging Port
USB Type-C cables are reversible, meaning that there is no way to plug the cable into the port upside down.
MicroUSB cables can't be used, and may damage the port if used.
The use of Type-C adapters isn't recommended.
Overheating Concerns
Some heat is anticipated and perfectly normal, though the phone should not become too warm to handle comfortably.
The Galaxy S23 / Galaxy S23+ / Galaxy S23 Ultra supports Adaptive Fast Charging and therefore is likely to get warm during charging. This is expected, especially if the device is being operated while it's charging. If the device gets warm during normal use, see the tips above.
If Device Won't Power On
Use the provided Samsung wall charger and wait at least 1-2 minutes to allow the device to charge.
If the device doesn't seem to charge with the provided AC charger, connect the provided USB cable to a different AC charger (if available). If the device charges under this configuration, the provided AC charger needs to be replaced.
