V Team,
In light of the events currently unfolding in Washington D.C, the well-being of our V Team and customers remains our top priority. A message has been sent to our colleagues in the D.C. metro area to ensure they stay safe and informed. While we support the right for peaceful protests, we condemn the violence and rioting occurring in the nation's capital.
At Verizon, we pride ourselves on living up to the highest ideals of integrity and respect. To be part of the V Team means that we honor these values both within and beyond our walls. That’s why in times of uncertainty, we must stay focused on our purpose and why we show up every day committed to making a difference.
We create the networks that move the world forward. By its very nature, the word network conveys unity, that we are stronger together. However, what gives us the strength to deliver to our customers, shareholders, society and each other is that we are all different. Core to who we are as a company is respecting our diverse perspectives, beliefs and experiences.
While emotions remain high, it’s important to remember that we are still one V Team, and our commitment to each other hasn’t changed.
Let’s not lose sight of the opportunity ahead to begin this new year as one team — a connected network — and we will continue to build and power the future moving #ForwardTogether.
