Vandana Venkatesh

Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer – Public Policy, Responsible Business, Legal & Security

Vandana leads a world-class team focused on the critical legal, policy, responsible business and security issues that matter most to Verizon’s customers, shareholders, and employees.

Previously, she was the Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel for Verizon Consumer Group, connecting over 100 million consumers daily through our award-winning networks and services. She also served as Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel for Verizon's Enterprise business unit, serving global enterprises and governments, including a majority of Fortune 500 companies. 

Prior to joining Verizon, Vandana worked at the law firms Morse, Barnes-Brown & Pendleton and Bingham, Dana & Gould, where she provided counsel to internet, high-tech, and biotech startups. She also previously served as an aide to United States Representative Henry Waxman.

Corporate and charitable leadership

Vandana has supported mentoring and increasing educational opportunities for college access and success. She served on the board of Bottom Line, an organization that promotes opportunities for first-generation college students and is on the board of the National Association of Manufacturers, the nation's largest manufacturing industrial trade association, representing 14,000 small and large manufacturing companies. 

Personal and educational background

Vandana holds a law degree from Georgetown University Law School, along with Master's and Bachelor's degrees in History from the University of California, Los Angeles.
