Manage communication preferences in My Verizon FAQs

Communication preferences in My Verizon (app or website) allow you to customize notifications for your Verizon mobile and/or Fios Home Internet account.

Communication preferences:

• Service preferences - Manage billing, payment and data usage alerts.
• Marketing preferences - Manage communications to keep up with the latest deals on all of our products and services.
• Language - Choose English or Spanish for billing, payment and data usage alerts.

You are notified by text message, email or push communications.*

Good to know: Fios account communications are sent by email and push only.

*A push communication is a pop-up that appears on your mobile device’s or browser’s screen.

Yes. Communication notifications are free:

• Text notifications don't count against your text message limit, if you have one.*
• Email notifications are free but data usage could apply if you check your email on your mobile device.**
• Push notifications are also free, but standard data rates may apply if it links to content that consumes data (e.g., viewing an image or playing a video, etc.).**

*Fios account communications are sent by email and push only.

Stay informed about your Verizon mobile account with these communications:

• Billing - Set communications to know when your bill is ready.
• Payments - Set communications to know when your payments, credits or other transactions occur.
• Data usage - For shared data plans*, all account members automatically get text or email communications as they near or exceed the account's data allowance. You can also set additional communications, such as when 50% of the monthly data is used.

Keep in mind:

• We don't send usage communications for Unlimited plans.
• If you change your plan during a bill cycle, your usage communications will be based on your partial (prorated) data allowance. Visit our Verizon mobile bill statement FAQs for more about prorated charges.
• If you disable usage alerts, you must acknowledge the financial risk. Not receiving communications may lead to unexpected overage charges.

Stay informed about your Verizon Fios Internet account with these email and push-only communications:

• Bill communications - Set communications to know when your bill is ready.
• Account/service related (required for email).
• Certain regulatory notices - In some cases you can receive these messages by email instead of delivered mail.
• Malware and security communications.
  

Manage your marketing preferences to stay informed about our offers and deals:

• Equipment and devices - Discover the latest on mobile phones, tablets, watches, routers and more.
• Plans and pricing - Receive information on monthly plans and pricing options.
• Entertainment - Explore entertainment like Plan perks, digital subscriptions and TV content.
• Other products and services - Get communications on rewards, accessories, Verizon Credit Card, Verizon insurance and more.
  

Account Owner and Account Manager can choose communications for the whole account or for each account member.

Yes. The Account Owner and Account Manager can add up to 3 mobile numbers and 3 email addresses to get communciations. These can be changed as needed.

To add a new email address or mobile number to get communications, sign in to your My Verizon mobile account using the line tied to that email address or mobile number.
